Rolling the dough with Mama
This started out as a blog mainly about Jeramyah but now our family has changed and so has the blog! Be warned - we are loud, off the wall, sporadic, and crazy - so the blog will be too!

Blogger
Now that I'm writing this I recall seeing a chat box type thing on someone's blog. . . maybe I'll go find that......
Another long post
Anyway this weekend I was cleaning and J decided he wanted to skate. He put on my roller blades and was pretty good at it for awhile. Of course by the time I got the camera he just wanted that. Don't forget you have to turn the music off on the right side of the page to hear the videos!
Here he goes again.
After a fun day of playing it was bath time. We don't actually have a bath, just a shower. Poor J wants to swim and play soooo badly. Here he is trying to swim. When I give him baths I realise just how big he's gotten. It's so crazy!
Coookin Coookin
See, I can do it by myself!
(See Erica; my kiddo is always in his chonies too! =) )
MMM Good
I didn't get a pic of him with the finished product because he didn't care after that! LOLWriting Prompt
I opened my eyes and saw J's 1-10 learning poster.
Numbers 1 through 10
Jeramyah knows you all
10 through 20 now
Not so great but that last line was hard! Everything I thought about that was cute was 7 syllables.

Website
Each day they give you a new prompt to write about. Today's is about a memorable party you've been to. I can't remember any great parties off the top of my head however it made me think of mom's night out and how badly I need one. . .
However Nov 5's prompt was Stranger; write something nice a stranger has done for you. Here's mine. . .
My best friend from here and I were talking about moving to Tulsa about 6 years ago. We did all the research we could online and planned our second trip to scout out some houses. We started our trip right after I got off of work (6am) excited as all get out. We had reached Tulsa, got something to eat and started to look for places. After about 30 minutes of driving around the car started acting funny. We took it into a shop near by to have them look at it. They told us what all was wrong (3 different things that I don't remember now) and told us to fix all of it we were looking at about 2k.
Ummm yeah, like we just have 2 grand laying around. So we told them we'd fix it when we got back home. He said that it wasn't safe (I think part of it was for the suspension, alignment, wheels something of that sort) to drive all the way back. We asked him what we could fix to get home and do the rest later. He told us what would be best and that it'd be about $900; we had $600. He said he'd work with us. So we're sitting there ticked off waiting for them to fix what they could on the car.
While we were there there was an older gentlemen (late 50s early 60s) from the start and a middle aged woman came in a while later. We sort of talked to the both of them a little bit. More the woman than the man. So the man's car is done and he gets up to pay and the lady starts talking to us again. The man then leaves and about 20 minutes later they tell us our car is done. The worker hands us our receipt and warranty info. We ask what the total will be and he said that the gentleman that was in there earlier had taken care of it. He told the worker to give us his card and be safe.
We both in tears leave the building and go outside and then look at the card. He was a minister at one of the local Churches. We sent him a thank you card with a promise to pay him back as we could. He wrote us back once saying he was glad we returned home safely and didn't want payment. He told us that knowing we were thankful women was enough. If we really wanted to do something he said help someone else in need.
Every time I hear someone doing good for another person I think of that man. Just about every time I do something for someone else I think of him and whisper a little thank you.
It's people like that that make this world go 'round. People who do things for absolutely no reason other than because it's the right thing to do. People like that are what give me hope for a better world.
Anyway I just wanted to share this, thought it was neat for those who want to blog but aren't sure what to write about. Enjoy!
Long Weekend
James told J that it was like mama's. So we show J my tat (which is a tribal dragon between my shoulder blades) and J says "A BUG!" LOL
We had gotten the Wal-Mart toy catalog in the mail earlier that day and J found it and started calling it his book. . . Make him about 20 years older and on a toilet. . . does this not remind you of men??? LOL
He decided mama was taking too many pictures of him and wanted the camera. This is his pleassssseeeeeeeeeeee face.
Daddy and J have been playing a lot of video games. Like father like son....
Today J took some time to help the illiterate.
And then he told us he wanted to be a professional break dancer? *This was a lot funnier before we got the camera out. He was actually spinning in circles on his head and hiney. . . still cute though. Also, it looks like hubby throws him back on the mat to dance. . . although I'd like to make you all think that he really didn't do it! LOL it's just the way J runs back to it. . .
With his car? *Again he was doing circles with this before we started filming. . . dang kid.
So that has been the last two days around here! J has his first dentist appointment on Tuesday. . I might have to blog about how that goes.

Preemie Awareness Month
Millions of babies are born early each year and a lot of the times no one knows why. Some of those babies out grow their issues, some never over come them and unfortunately some of those babies don't come home from the hospital.
Please help us help babies and mothers get their full 9 months. On the right side of our blog I have a place for you to sign an online petition to get awareness out there. Take a minute out of your day and sign it. If you are feeling really giving of your time then take 2 minutes and forward it along to your friends.
Every single day a child has in the womb is important.
If you would like to read more about Jeramyah's story you can go here. After you read his story then search the website and read other family's stories.
Funny Kid
Halloween
I was SO proud of J. We told him each time to say trick or treat and thank you afterwards. After a while he started saying it by himself. T or T was a sometimes thing but he said Thank You to EVERY SINGLE PERSON. I was so proud of him! I think he had a great time. Luckily for me this is only once a year! =)

Sleep...well the lack thereof. . .
He usually is asleep by 8pm and wakes up between 7 and 7:30a. Usually I lay him down for a nap around noon and he falls asleep around 1. I don't know if I should try making it earlier or what. I really can't go any later because then he wont sleep at night. It doesn't matter if we do nothing all day or if we are busy and active all day; nothing changes. I also don't think I should take out naps all together because like I said he's crabby, and tired but also because if he doesn't take a nap he doesn't sleep as well at night.
I've tried "quiet time" where he lays down in a room by himself and watches a movie but that only lasts for about 15 minutes. All I know is if something doesn't change soon I'm going to be drinking by 2 every day. . .
Skinny Bitch!
I started some new meds at the end of August and they usually help most people kick start weight loss and I was really worried that it would be all meds and no me. However it's come of very slow since I've started them so I don't think it's all that...which is a big relief because now I know if/when I stop the meds I can continue loosing it.
When I first got really serious about losing I said I wouldn't buy myself any new clothes until I lost half the weight (I'm only at about 1/3), but I really think I need some new jeans. . . so if any of you know of places with jeans on sell let me know!
Sorry for the shameless brag - I just couldn't help myself!!!

Security Blanket...or not so much - Now with pictures
Anyway I bought J some gloves the other day, one he needs them for the winter but I also got him some red one's to go with his Elmo Halloween costume. Anyway I put them on a couple of days ago and he wont take them off. First thing this morning he asked for them and still wont let me take them off. The only time I've been able to take them off is if I bribe him with candy or if he's sleeping.. . . a week with gloves every day...
I'll add some pics later....

Pictures
I'm keeping my BF's 2 sons for a week; one of them had a football game today and that resulted in J not getting a nap. That just makes my fears even higher of the outcome of the shoot.
However today went PERFECTLY! They had leaves, pumpkins, a tree, a fence and a hay bale for it. We took a few pics with him in his regular clothes and they were GREAT! He smiled, held the pumpkins, laughed, he even flirted with the photographer! Then he let me put his Elmo costume on with out a hitch and smiled and played for that!
Normally after you take the pictures you schedule to come back and look at a slide show of them and see which ones you want. When they do the special background scenes like this you view it right then. I thought with having all 3 boys with me this would be hard esp since James wasn't there (it was hell last time!). It actually turned out to be MUCH better. I left Jeramyah to play with the toys (like last time) but this time I didn't have to go keep checking on him.
I am oh so happy about it!
I LOVE pictures...all kinds. In action, sitting, standing, B&W, colour, at home, out and about, professional, just love them all. I get ours done at The Photo Store and they are so great. They are also one of the cheapest places in town. The only thing I don't like is that I easily spend $100 every time. We had family ones when J was 3 months old. Then we did 6, 9, 12, 15 month ones for the "baby steps" they have. Then we did 2 years in July, family in Sept, and these in Oct. Plus they have the Secret Santa ones which are FREAKING ADORABLE! I told the guy today that I just need to sign my paychecks over to them. . . in the last 2 years we've spent about $700 on photos.
Thankfully the family ones were pretty good, and these today were GREAT.... When I look at how much he's grown in the last two years and I get to look at all the ways he's changed it is worth every penny.

Hola
So here I am making a family blog (I have one about the books I read; I know I'm a nerd) between hitting the baseball with Jeramyah. I'm not sure exactly if this will be a J only blog. I'm sure I'll also write about the family in general and sometimes my thoughts.
A couple of things have happened this morning that made me really want to start this.
1) It's a cold rainy day here and so I've been trying to keep J busy with things other than the TV. We've of course been playing baseball (we do this EVERY DAY) but I think we both got bored and he wanted to go watch Lilo and Stitch. I turn the movie on in my room for him and come in the living room to check my email and stuff on the laptop. About 20 minutes later he comes in with his bowl and gives me a hug asking for more Fruit Loops. I carry him in there while still hugging him and sit him on the counter. I pour some cereal into his bowl and we sit/stand there and feed it to each other. Then I start tickling him under his chin/neck. I love how a child will laugh before you even touch them! I'm laughing so hard because all I have to do is put my hands close to him and he laughs. Since I'm laughing he's laughing and that makes me laugh harder!
After we calm down a bit he starts saying "up!" I have no clue what he's talking about then he throws the cereal in the air. Then I remember, dear old daddy taught him how to through it in the air and catch it in his mouth; only J doesn't catch it. So I say what the hell and we start throwing it around. We get down and pick it all up then I come back in here. J starts throwing it some more then looses it. His little face scrunches up in the most angry looking face I have ever seen!
As I said while I'm trying to get this blog going we were playing baseball. J threw the ball and hit my arm. He comes over and kisses it and gives me a hug. I tell him "I love you so stinking much!" about 5 minutes later it's my turn to throw the ball and I throw it a little too hard. It goes past him and he tells me "Too stinkin much!" =) I love how he repeats what I say in a totally different way!
Anyway I think this is about it for my first blog. I'm not sure how often I'll update but check back!
